Meet Viviana Janer
Viviana Janer was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, and raised in New York City. She believes education is the key to success having earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Public Accounting and later a Master of Business Administration with academic honors. She has more than 20 years of experience in corporate accounting.
Viviana Janer currently serves on the county commission and works hard to continually improve the quality of life for you – the residents in Osceola County! She is passionate about enhancing our roads and transportation, improving our parks and libraries as well as creating affordable options so that residents have housing alternatives that fit their budgets. In addition, she’s been an active advocate for our seniors, education and the creation of high-paying jobs through economic development.
Viviana Janer was elected to the County Commission in 2014 making History as the first Hispanic woman to be elected to this office. Viviana is currently the Vice-Chairwoman of the Board of County of Commissioners, Vice-Chair of the Central Florida Commuter Rail Commission (SunRail), the Chairwoman of the LYNX Oversight Board, and Vice-Chair for the Florida Association of Counties (FAC) Legislative Executive Committee. Viviana Janer also serves on the Tourist Development Council and the Boards of the Directors for Metroplan Orlando, LYNX, and the FAC Institute of County Government. She served as Chairwoman of the County Commission in 2020 and 2016.
